Removing CodeMeter Licenses from a Server

Remove a CodeMeter license from a network server by noting the license serial, using CodeMeter Command Prompt, confirming removal, and sending log files for confirmation

This article explains the steps that need to be taken to remove a CodeMeter license from a network server.

First, get the license number by opening CodeMeter Control Center (either from the Start menu, or the tool tray).

Select the Muk3D Formation license and note the serial number.

Run Start/CodeMeter/CmDust to generate a log file showing the current state of the server.  The logfile will be written to c:/users/<you>/CmDust-Result.log.  Rename this file to CmDust-Result-Current.log.

Now open CodeMeter Command Prompt (from Start Menu) and type the following command:

Note the double dashes before delete and serial. The serial number is the serial number of the license from CodeMeter Control Center, noted above.

The license should disappear from the CodeMeter Control Center window.

Finally, regenerate a log file by running Start/CodeMeter/CmDust to generate a log file showing the license has been removed.  The logfile will be written to c:/users/<you>/CmDust-Result.log.  Rename this file to CmDust-Result-Final.log.

Send both log files through to us to confirm license removal.
